Asset Appointments are a specialist technical, engineering and manufacturing recruitment company based in Washington, Tyne and Wear.
Our client engineers for the Oil and Gas industry and is a well known supplier to this market.
Due to an exciting period of growth and product development the company is now looking to recruit a number of experienced CNC Horizontal & Vertical Borer Operators and Turners. Ideally apprentice trained, you will have experience of using G/L or Fanuc control systems (for Horizontal Borer machine) and Mazak Machines.
Responsibilities will include:
You will be programming components ranging from 1 off to small quantity batch work and will require interpretation of engineering drawings.
Package Details:
Working a continental shift pattern based on 12 hour shifts with an associated shift premium giving potential annual basic earnings in excess of 32K and with a small amount of overtime (5 hours per week) you can expect to earn in excess of 40,000pa.

Requirements:
Experience in the use of a variety of programming methods ie canned cycles or machine CAM systems.
Activities will include programming components ranging from 1 off to small quantity batch work which will require interpretation of engineering drawings. You should be competent in a variety of programming methods i.e. canned cycles or machine CAM systems. Previous experience of using high grade materials is desirable together with the use of facing attachments.
Previous experience of using exotic materials is desirable together with the use of facing attachments.

* A degree of IT literacy
* Ideally apprentice trained/time served
* Experience of using Fanuc control systems and Mazak Machines advantageous
